JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for overall oversight & construction
Oversee, manage, and maintain all areas relating to maintenance, to ensure effective hotel operational requirements
Plan, supervise and conduct the maintenance and service schedules of relevant hotel equipment and fleet of vehicles within the group.
Develop a preventative maintenance program that ensures compliance with all relevant warrantees, safety legislation and maintenance best practices.
Ensure safe and secure usage of all equipment.
Manage, train, guide and develop staff
Ensure malfunctioning equipment is repaired and brought back online in the minimum possible down-time
Maintain a thorough stock level of frequently used equipment, supplies and relevant items.
Maintain inspection, stock control and purchasing records.
Obtain best price quotes from reliable suppliers and build a base of approved service providers.
Prepare annual maintenance budgets, including any purchasing for machinery or other OPEX items, maintaining existing material and machinery, and labour.
Work closely with Hotel Managers, Group Operational Manager and Head of Departments to ensure all maintenance requests are resolved in a timely fashion.
Functioning & performance of department which operates over multiple sites
People Management, Strategic planning, and reporting

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 Years’ experience of Facilities/Maintenance Management
Engineering Qualification would be ADV
Management Skills
Proficient in use of MS Office
Planning, process excellence and service delivery
Experience with CAPEX and operational Budgeting
Experience with preventative maintenance planning and execution
Teamwork

Qualification:
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Facilities Management
Driver’s license
