JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role requires you to plan, supervise and coordinate all maintenance (planned and unplanned), health and safety measures, cleaning, and security for the entire facility (10 000sqm).

Duties:

Create a schedule of maintenance to meet operations and OEM requirements. Examples include Fire equipment, gutter cleaning, roller shutter door servicing, lifts, generator fuelling and recording all evidence of service where necessary
Supervisions and responsibility of the service and maintenance contractors whilst on site
Supervision of cleaning staff reporting to you ensuring good standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained throughout the facility and well as staff common areas – bathrooms, canteen etc
Responsible for the Health and Safety environment including meeting minimum necessary legal requirements, document submissions, plans, testing etc
Facilities spend and budget administration
Security and access control for staff, contractors and visitors and any related paperwork etc
Service Management – SLA’s: these include all services from Electrical Maintenance, Handyman Services, Waste Management, Parking Management, Security Management, Lift Maintenance, HVAC, Cleaning, Fire Sprinklers, Smoke Extraction, Smoke Detection, CCTV Systems, Pest Control, Access Control, Landscaping.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements relating to commercial and industrial properties (in particular the OHS Act) – arrange a minimum of 1 OHS inspection and Building Inspection per year with the Property Management company / Landlord

Requirements:

Grade 12
A minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Facilities Supervisor or equivalent role
A complete understanding of the OHS and HSE requirements for this type of facility operation
Valid Driver’s license (code 08) and own transport

Please note Operational Roles are required to work a six-day (45 hour) week which includes Saturdays
