SUMMARY:
FACTORY / OPERATIONS MANAGER (MEAT INDUSTRY)

POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced FACTORY / OPERATIONS MANAGER (MEAT INDUSTRY) for a well-established growing concern – position based in KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Relevant qualifications would be an added advantage (in the meat industry).

Valid driver’s license and own transport.

Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).

Previous experience in a meat factory or processing plant.

Knowledge of the meat production process and the requirements to produce good quality products.

Knowledge and compliance with food safety standards particularly HACCP.

Knowledge and compliance with hygiene management.

Able to act decisively when problems arise and able to solve them.

Oversee factory flow and processes (receiving, production, deboning, dispatch).

Ensure daily and weekly production targets are met without compromising on quality.

Ensure standards are maintained at the highest level and waste is limited.

Able to clearly communicate with other departments in the factory.

Oversee physical stock counts and monitor stock levels as well as efficient stock rotation.

Maintain good housekeeping in and outside the factory.

Manage staff effectively (+-30 employees).

Able to work under pressure and work after hours if needed.
