SUMMARY:
A luxury hotel in the Graskop region is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Food & Beverage Manager to lead and oversee all Food & Beverage operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the department as a business unit, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining profitability, driving service excellence, and leading a high-performing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality professional with a strong operational and financial background in luxury hotels or lodges.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENT:

RSA ID and legal residence essential
Valid Driver's License essential
Minimum 3–5 years' experience managing a Food & Beverage Department within a 4-Star or 5-Star hotel or lodge
Minimum 10 years' experience within the hospitality industry preferred
Matric essential; tertiary hospitality qualification advantageous
Strong financial acumen with sound knowledge of budgeting, cost of sales, profit margins, and stock control
Banqueting and conferencing experience essential
Advanced knowledge of POS, stock control, and PMS systems (Opera, Symphony, Nebula, Apex, PlusPoint advantageous)
Excellent leadership, staff training, and people management skills
Strong computer literacy with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent organisational, reporting, and communication skills
Guest-centric, hands-on, and service-driven approach
Proven employment stability with a strong hospitality track record
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the Food & Beverage department to achieve operational and financial objectives
Lead, train, mentor, and develop the Food & Beverage team
Oversee stock control, purchasing, and inventory management
Monitor food and beverage costs, budgets, and profitability
Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and SOPs
Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports
Manage staffing schedules and performance appraisals
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
Drive guest satisfaction and resolve guest concerns professionally
Coordinate banqueting, conferencing, promotions, and special events
Maintain exceptional service standards and operational excellence

PACKAGE:

R18,000 – R22,000 per month
Live-in accommodation provided
Provident Fund (5% employee contribution)
Discovery Medical Aid available (Classic Saver or below – voluntary and forms part of CTC)
