e-Commerce and Online Orders Administrator

SUMMARY:
A large battery supplier requires an e-Commerce and online orders Administrator at their head office in the north of Durban. The purpose of the role is to manage and process all online orders efficiently, coordinate with internal branches for stock fulfilment, ensure timely and accurate dispatch of products to customers, and maintain the e-commerce platform by ensuring product content, usability, and customer journey are up-to-date and optimized.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

• Process daily online orders and coordinate with relevant branches for stock allocation.
• Follow up with branches to ensure stock availability and timely delivery.
• Address order discrepancies, delays, or issues with urgency and accuracy
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of inventory levels and product availability.
• Report and escalate recurring stock issues or delays.
• Ensure product listings on e-commerce platform are accurate with up-to-date descriptions, pricing, and images.
• Remove or update discontinued or out-of-stock items.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to upload promotional banners and seasonal content.
• Monitor website functionality to ensure smooth navigation and checkout experience.
• Respond to customer queries related to orders, stock availability, and delivery timelines.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve them in coordination with relevant departments.
• Generate weekly reports on order processing status, delivery timelines, and customer issues.
• Proactively suggest improvements for e-commerce processes or website usability.

• Matric certificate (minimum).
• Diploma in Administration, E-Commerce, Marketing, or related field (advantageous).
• Minimum 2 years in administrative support, ideally in an ecommerce or marketing environment.
• Experience with order processing software or e-commerce platforms is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
