POSITION INFO:

Job Position: External Sales Representative

Location: Port Elizabeth
Salary: R18 000 to R25 000 per month CTC commensurate with experience and qualification – includes basic, target based commission, travel allowance, company cellphone with allowance of R1300 per month  + company Provident Fund 5 % after probation period. Petrol reimbursed

Qualifications / Requirements:

• To start as soon as possible
• Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle essential
• Minimum of Matric – please include certificate with application
• Proven sales experience and successful track record
• Good understanding of office management, sales and marketing principles
• Understand SageX2 and all functionalities relevant processes
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Know and understand customer group pricing
• Must be an energetic team player
• Able to work independently and adhere to deadlines and strict turnaround times
• Must be willing to travel extensively, cover about 5500 km a month in the area with 6 to 8 nights out per month
• Preferable age between 28 and 35
• Must be able to self-manage and must have a clear understanding of KPI’s in respect of their job spec

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Sales:

-      Meeting and exceeding sales budgets – sales and profit

-      Servicing allocated client base

-      Contact dormant customers in order to revive these accounts

-      Secure sales of items on specials promotion, new products

-      Promote and sell seasonal stock or planned campaigns

-      Proactively setup promotions with customers

-      Instore merchandising, building of displays, floor stand etc

-      Cold calling and focusing on growing customer base

• Planning:

-      Focus on sales categories in line with company objectives

-      New business development

-      Focus on non-buying accounts

-      Plan monthly contact with customers in advance

-      Plan and integrate sales activities and goals

• Administration:

-      Administration and office duties necessary

-      Generate sales reports

-      Prepare weekly and monthly reports

-      Maintain call cycle one month in advance

-      Follow up on queries, back orders and ETA’s and communicate to customers

-      Generate and manage quotations for allocated customers

-      Manage and maintain personal business expenses
