Export Sea & Air Controller

SUMMARY:
Role Purpose: To oversee and manage the full export process for both sea and air freight shipments, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellent client service.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate end‑to‑end export operations for sea and air freight.
• Prepare and process export documentation (Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, Certificates of Origin, customs declarations, etc.).
• Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, agents, transporters, and clients to arrange bookings, collections, and deliveries.
• Monitor shipments, track progress, and provide proactive updates to clients.
• Ensure compliance with Incoterms, customs regulations, and international trade procedures.
• Manage costings, invoicing, and accurate file administration using logistics systems.
• Negotiate carrier rates when required.
• Resolve operational issues, delays, or documentation discrepancies quickly.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and problem‑solving.

• 3–5 years’ experience in export logistics (sea and air freight).
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs clearance, and international trade procedures.
• Proficiency in logistics systems (CargoWise, ShipShape or similar) and MS Office (Excel, Outlook essential).
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and client service skills.
