Experienced Powder Coater (Industrial Sector)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Powder Coater with a strong background in the industrial sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying powder coatings, curing components, and maintaining equipment while adhering to strict quality, safety, and environmental standards.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

•             Certifications in painting techniques, equipment handling, or health and safety will be advantageous.

•             Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Powder Coater in an industrial environment.

•             Proven experience working with industrial powder coating systems and ovens.

•             Strong attention to detail and quality.

•             Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

•             Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications.

•             Mix and pour powder into hoppers according to job requirements.

•             Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sandblasting, scraping, or priming as required.

•             Mask and protect areas that should not be coated.

•             Load parts onto racks or conveyors.

•             Set up spray guns (pressure, nozzles) and apply electrostatically charged powder evenly.

•             Move coated parts into and out of industrial curing ovens.

•             Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

•             Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning spray booths, changing colours, and maintaining equipment and work areas.

•             Strictly adhere to all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.

•             Comply with environmental regulations regarding paints, solvents, and chemicals.
