Executive Housekeeper / Back of House Manager

SUMMARY:
A well-established 4* Hotel in Plettenberg Bay an experienced and motivated Executive Housekeeper / Back of House Manager to lead their housekeeping and back-of-house operations.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:
 
Manage the daily operation of the housekeeping department.
Ensure all guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas consistently meet 4-star standards.
Conduct regular room inspections and quality audits.
Coordinate daily room allocations with the Front Office team.
Ensure rooms are prepared on time for guest arrivals and departures.
Recruit, train and supervise housekeeping staff.
Prepare staff schedules and allocate daily duties.
Monitor staff performance and maintain high levels of productivity and morale.
Manage housekeeping inventory, linen, guest amenities and cleaning supplies.
Monitor stock levels, minimize wastage and assist with cost control.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and hotel operating procedures.
Respond professionally to housekeeping-related guest requests.
 
Requirements:
 
Matric (Grade 12) essential.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar hotel housekeeping leadership role.
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work under pressure.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
