Events Project Manager (Golf & Sponsorships)

SUMMARY:
A leading sports marketing and events organisation is seeking an experienced Events Project Manager (Golf & Sponsorships) to join its Golf Division based in Midrand. This role is ideal for a highly organised and commercially minded professional with a passion for golf, sponsorship activations, and the successful delivery of premium events.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple golf sponsorships, events, and projects from concept to execution while ensuring client satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitability.

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities
 
Client Account Management

• Build, manage, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Develop concepts, strategies, commercial proposals, and presentations.
• Manage sponsorship activations and account administration.
• Prepare and present proposals, tenders, and budgets.
• Facilitate client meetings and ensure effective communication throughout project lifecycles.
• Manage contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations

• Manage high-profile golf events from planning through implementation, reporting, and debriefing.
• Develop project plans, rollout schedules, budgets, operational reports, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate suppliers, logistics, sponsorship activations, and event operations.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Oversee project coordinators and administration teams where applicable

• Develop and manage event and project budgets.
• Monitor profitability and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and administration.
• Manage purchase orders, deposits, supplier payments, and client invoicing processes.
• Deliver profitable projects while achieving client objectives.

• Manage sponsorship rights and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate media, broadcast, supplier, and rights-holder relationships.
• Lead experiential activations and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Ensure seamless integration of products and services within sponsorship programmes.

• Relevant Diploma or Degree qualification.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Event Management and/or Project Management.
• Proven experience managing large supplier accounts.
• Experience working within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Exposure to sponsorship management, event operations, and client account management will be highly advantageous.
