POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose


The core purpose of the Events Co-Ordinator will be to plan and organize all external events, campaigns or promotions, aimed at increasing CIB’s brand affinity and awareness amongst our Brokers.   The responsibility of planning and coordinating the relevant logistics of each event (such as venue selection, menu planning, transport arrangement, audio and visual equipment, branding, corporate gifting, etc.) will mainly lie with the incumbent of this role.  All events will be as per approved Marketing Strategy and the role incumbent will need to execute planned events within approved budget.  
Working closely with the Company’s appointed Social Committee, the Events Co-Ordinator will furthermore be responsible  for overseeing and assisting with the planning and coordination of all internal staff events, campaigns and functions aimed at increasing employee morale and creating greater synergy between internal culture/ employee behaviour and the Company’s brand promise.  

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Certificate or Diploma in events management
- Bachelor''s degree in Business/ Marketing - highly advantageous
- At least 5 years related experience in corporate events management
- Proven experience in a B2B marketing related role
- Good understanding of office management and marketing principles and technologies
- Good knowledge of market research techniques
- Good knowledge and experience within the Short-Term Insurance Industry - preferred. 

Key Performance Areas
- Successful co-ordination and management of all broker focused initiatives, events and promotional campaigns throughout the yearly calendar.
- Successful co-ordination and implementation of marketing and communication initiatives via various social media platforms and industry specific news and communication networks.
- Cost effective management of approved budget
- Positive contribution and participation in all daily/ monthly activities that stem from the overall Marketing Strategy.  Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the effective functionality and coordination of the department''s activities.
- Developing effective and supportive relationships with brokers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular market research and analyse client feedback, and driving appropriate responses thereto.
- In close collaboration with the social committee, coordinate all internal staff events and functions ensuring that these initiatives succeed in maintaining healthy levels of staff morale.
- In collaboration with HR and Managers help achieve a work environment that supports high levels of performance, employee engagement and innovative thinking by assisting in driving the internal rewards and recognition platforms and ensuring that these remain relevant and succeed in inspiring the right behaviour to support the delivery against the Company''s Brand Promise and Service Pledge.
