Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for financial analysis and costing to join our manufacturing team in Somerset West. This entry-level role is ideal for a graduate or early-career professional with a strong academic foundation in Financial or Cost Accounting and some exposure to manufacturing environments.
 

POSITION INFO:
You will be responsible for supporting the business by preparing high-level tenders, performing detailed cost analyses, and ensuring accurate cost allocation for products manufactured. The ideal candidate has excellent financial acumen, advanced costing knowledge, and experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
 
Minimum Requirements
South African citizen with the right to work in South Africa
BTech or BCom Degree in Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting, or equivalent
1–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment in a finance/costing role
Proficient in ERP systems (SAP highly advantageous)
Solid understanding of tendering processes and product costing
Strong financial acumen and analytical thinking skills
Excellent Excel and numerical skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
 
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tender documentation and cost proposals for new and existing business.
• Perform costing of manufactured products, including materials, labour, and overhead allocations.
• Analyse variances between actual costs and standard costs and provide explanations for discrepancies.
• Support the Senior Estimator and the Finance Manager with cost models to inform pricing strategies and business decisions.
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost inputs.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports, including profitability and margin analysis.
• Maintain cost master data within the ERP/SAP system, ensuring integrity and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements and make recommendations.
