SUMMARY:

An international freight forwarder and logistics service provider is looking for an Entry Clerk to join their Clearing and Forwarding team in Durban on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for registering framing sea-freight and airfreight import and export entries, booking and capturing of reports and calculating and submitting duty drawbacks.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Evaluate the requirements of the file and register it onto the Compu-Clear system - Various types of entries to be captured (DP / WH / XIR / XRW / RIB / IR)
Capture the bill of entry for all import and export (Road, Sea, and Air Freight)
Booking and capturing of export orders - Tracking until delivery
Fulfil acquittal obligations with SARS charges and arrange payment when required
Always liaise with internal and external customers and shipping lines to ensure effective communication
Accurately complete all applicable Clearing and Forwarding documentation
Fulfil bill of lading obligations
Refunds and Drawbacks, liaising with custom specialist in obtaining revenue due
Tariff analysis
Incoterm analysis
