SUMMARY:
A well-established company based in the East rand is seeking a Engineering Production Planner to plan, schedule and coordinate workshop activities.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).
Qualification in Production Planning, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering or similar (advantageous).
3–5 years' production planning experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Experience with job cards, work orders and production scheduling.
Strong organisational, planning and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
Issue and manage job cards and work orders.
Monitor production progress and update schedules as required.
Allocate work according to workshop capacity and priorities.
Coordinate with Procurement and Stores to ensure material availability.
Monitor supplier deliveries and identify material shortages.
Ensure drawings, specifications and job documentation are available before work commences.
Track job progress and ensure completed work is submitted for quality inspection and close-out.
Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
