Our client is seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join their team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with a strong focus on safety and quality. This role requires a professional who can work independently, adhere to strict industry standards, and effectively collaborate with team members.
Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Qualified Electrician with a recognized certificate and trade qualification
- Proven experience of minimum of 3 years' in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Ability to inspect, test, and sign off Certificates of Compliance (COCs)
- Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, codes, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle
- Willing to work over weekends, when needed
- Must be reliable, disciplined, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Duties and responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment according to industry standards
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installations
- Test, inspect, and sign off Certificates of Compliance (COCs) for completed electrical work
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions promptly
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations, codes, and company policies
- Install, maintain, and repair lighting, power, and control systems in commercial, industrial, or residential settings
- Maintain and safely operate electrical tools, instruments, and machinery
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize system failures
- Collaborate with team members, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and safety checks completed
- Stay updated with new technologies, electrical standards, and best practices
