SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing sector seeks to employ a qualified Electrician to join their Maintenance team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Conduct breakdown maintenance, complete proactive maintenance / maintain plant & machinery.
Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Perform planned maintenance tasks on electrical equipment.
Perform and sign off on allocated job cards.
Test and evaluate equipment for irregularities, then repairing same.
Investigate problem areas by reading and working from electrical drawings.
Use the planned maintenance system with reference to the maintenance schedules and shutdown maintenance schedules.
Adhere to both industry quality standards and the requirements of ISO 9001.
Safety installations and compliance with SANS 10142 is imperative for all installations.
Where appropriate, oversee work of contractors on site.
Provide support and assistance to all departments.
Other duties as deemed necessary and requested by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

Must be a qualified Electrician that has passed a recognized trade test
Must have 5 years’ post trade test experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have general electrical experience as well as PLC experience
