Electrician

SUMMARY:
Trade Tested Industrial Automation Electrician needed for a project engineering company based in Pretoria. MUST Have an Electrical Trade with a Wireman’s License. This individual will be responsible for Electrical project installations, preparing wiring diagrams, installing cables and wireways from scratch.  NOT LOOKING for a maintenance electrician

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

• Trade tested qualification – Electrical
• Wireman’s License.
• Electrician with a minimum of 5 years experience within the Automotive industry / Sector with a strong emphasis on Industrial Automation.
• Valid Driver’s License – Code 08.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home.
• Programmable logic controllers (Siemens.)
• Industrial circuit breakers.
• Variable speed devices AC/DC.
• Electro and Analog detection systems.
• Industrial motor control technology.
• Electro detection systems.
• Analog detection systems.

• Thoroughly understand and implement work requirements on-site as per supervisor’s/contract manager’s specification
• Read and interpret drawings and transmitting the information from the drawing to materials
• Advise supervisor of material requirements for the execution of work where necessary
• Automation control, knowledge, and application
• Interpret electrical drawings
• Fault finding and Panel building
• Multitask and assist with the roles of team members when required (i.e., semi-skilled worker and general worker)
• Understanding that work may be required on more than one site, hence traveling will be required to different regions.
