POSITION INFO:

JOB PURPOSE

Electrical planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding, electrical installations as well as to comply with electrical and compliance standards. (SANS 10142).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ï‚· Electrical maintenance of plant equipment. (Electronics, fault finding and reading of electrical drawings)
ï‚· Installation & electrical maintenance of new equipment.
ï‚· Perform planned and preventative maintenance.
ï‚· Maintaining PLC’s and VSD’s
ï‚· Provide support to Manufacturing Operations.
ï‚· Electrical maintenance on buildings & services including refrigeration systems.
ï‚· Electrical maintenance of Engineering service areas and Laboratory testing equipment.
ï‚· Maintain Health & Safety standards on the production lines.
ï‚· Implement efficiency driven improvements.

SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

ï‚· Proven Expertise as an Electrician.
ï‚· Attention to detail.
ï‚· Building and Maintaining Relationships.
ï‚· Problem Solving & Analytical abilities.
ï‚· Knowledge of Electrical Manufacturing processes.
ï‚· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
ï‚· Self-motivated.
ï‚· Dependability.

Minimum requirements and Qualifications

ï‚· Recognized formal Electrical trade test.
ï‚· Minimum N4 Electrical certificate.
ï‚· Wireman’s License.
ï‚· Experience in maintaining PVC Injection machines, extruders as well as downstream equipment an advantage.
ï‚· HT and LT switchgear and substations.
ï‚· PLC and VSD certification or experience.
ï‚· DC motor drives.
ï‚· Willingness to perform stand-by /callout duties, night shifts and work overtime as and when required.
