POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a qualified and trade-tested Electrician to join our technical team based in Kyalami Business Park, Midrand.
The successful candidate will handle electrical installations, maintenance, testing, commissioning and fault-finding across residential, commercial and/or industrial environments.

Minimum Requirements

Trade Test Certificate – Electrician
- Section 13 (Apprenticeship) or
- Section 26D (RPL)
Valid Code B Driver’s Licence
Practical electrical installation experience
Proven electrical fault-finding experience

Advantageous Qualifications

Wireman’s Licence (Installation Electrician or higher)
Solar PV / Alternative Energy experience
Working at Heights & Fall Arrest Certification
First Aid Certification

Key Responsibilities

LV reticulation and electrical installations
Distribution board installation and wiring
Cable installation, termination and testing
Earthing and bonding
Electrical maintenance and breakdown response
Testing and commissioning
Completion of test reports and compliance documentation
Installation of single- and three-phase utility meters
Compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures

Essential Fault-Finding Skills

Must be able to diagnose and resolve faults on single/three-phase circuits, control & motor circuits and distribution systems, including:

Short/open circuits
Earth leakage
Phase loss/imbalance
Neutral faults
Metering faults

Must be competent with: Multimeter, Clamp Meter, Megger, Voltage Tester and Phase Rotation Meter.

Knowledge & Compliance

Electrical safety procedures
Lockout/Tagout principles
Electrical testing procedures
COC requirements
Earthing and protection fundamentals

Preferred Experience

Commercial or residential developments
Solar PV and backup power systems
Security systems power infrastructure
Estate or large-site electrical maintenance
