What you’ll be doing:

Maintain and test protection relays and control systems

Perform fault finding and diagnostics on plant equipment

Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime

Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance

Work on:

• Generators, motors, drives
• Substations and high-voltage equipment
• SCADA and DC systems

Ensure all work complies with safety and regulatory standards

Capture all work in CMMS system

Interpret drawings, relay settings, and technical specs

What we’re looking for:

National Diploma (NQF 6) in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in:

• Protection & control
• High-voltage plant

Strong experience with:

• Protection relays
• Fault finding
• Substation equipment

Ability to work independently and lead when required

Strong problem-solving mindset
