SGS South Africa is seeking to fulfil a key role in the SGS Environmental and Industries. The role includes but are not limited to site inspections, data processing and submission for reporting writing, to manage and perform all Edge expert work together with sales affiliates whether it’s on site or virtually as per request.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a person that is disciplined and treat colleagues and management with respect and possessing enough energy and passion to maintain good staff relationships. A successful career in delivering performance against agreed strategic objectives and ultimately ensuring that all quality and testing methods are observed, and any deviation is reported without delay.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you in the role, are expected to:

• To work together with sales affiliates to present Edge app and services to clients
  • To work together with sales affiliates to calculate consulting fees.
  • To communicate with global technical manager on all technical issues
  • Perform portfolio scans
  • Provide final presentation to client on outcome of portfolio scan.
  • Provide full consultancy support on Edge.
  • Provide project management on profile scan projects.
  • Provide Client Self assessments to auditors.
  • Coordinate with auditors
  • Perform Edge portfolio scans.
  • Supply Edge clients with quotations.

Qualification and Experience

• Higher Education Qualification (Degree of diploma in civil engineering) in an industry related field or
• 3 years’ experience in the construction industry(as a skilled professional) and a Higher Education Qualification (not necessarily in the construction industry)
• Document and report writing experience
• Outstanding Attention to detail
• Effective planning and organization
• High level of Impact and influence
