SUMMARY:
Driver Trainer required for a division of our reputable Client, a Logistics Leader, situated on the East Rand with a Valid Code EC license and PrDP. Candidates must possess extensive geographical knowledge, a min of 3 years' long-distance driving experience, assessor and moderator and facilitator certificates as well as the ability conduct driver assessments electronically (online platform).

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Manage internal and external driver training programmes.
Manage all administrative functions related to driver training.
Plan and execute training schedules at various depots.
Ensure all drivers are fully competent prior to entering the field.
Develop electronic training material and videos.
Manage and development of driver performance.
Reporting on training and assessments conducted.
Conduct site and route assessments.
Create PowerPoint presentations for drivers.
Travel with drivers for on route assessments / training.
Travel to different depots outside of your region for training purposes.
Manage the electronic Driver Management platform to identify training needs.
Allocate LMS training based on individual training needs identified.
Attend and conduct Toolbox Talks with drivers.
Action driver coaching and corrective action.
Manage all driver training and development (self-driver and carrier work).

Qualification / Skills and Experience:

Minimum Grade 12.
Computer literacy.
Previous training experience is highly advantageous.
Medically fit.
Ability to work with technology – Driver assessments done via electronic platform.
Valid Code EC license with PrDP.
Experience in the transport industry is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills – both verbally and written.
Sound general mechanical knowledge of trucks and trailers.
Must have own transport.
Assessor Certificate.
Moderator Certificate.
Facilitator Certificate.
Minimum of 3 years’ long distance Heavy Commercial Vehicle driving experience.
Extensive geographical knowledge.
