Junior Draughtsman
Alberton
R25 000 to R45 000 CTC based on experience

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Qualification in Mechanical Engineering and/or Draughting
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Draughtsman in the steel/fabrication industry
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, Advanced Sigmanest, or similar software
Experience with laser nesting software for tube and flat laser cutting
Strong understanding of steel products and fabrication processes
Experience in costing and customer technical support
Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop technical drawings and cutting plans for steel fabrication projects
Operate and optimize laser nesting software for tube laser, flat laser, and bending machines
Collaborate with Technical and Sales teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
Provide technical support and handle customer enquiries efficiently
Assist with project costing and pricing to ensure profitability
Work with steel products including tubing, piping, and structural steel
Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and customer specifications
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in steel laser processing
