Our client is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and analytical Domestic Underwriter to join their Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical underwriting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities

• Process new business and renewals within required timeframes
• Ensure accurate and complete compliance and policy documentation
• Proactively manage renewals, insurer terms, and client communication
• Process policy amendments and respond to requests promptly
• Maintain accurate client records, mandates, and authorisations
• Process cancellations efficiently and in line with procedures

• RE5 qualification
• NQF 4 in Short-term insurance qualification
• Minimum 5 years' experience in domestic underwriting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Insurance regulatory knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good understanding of underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Strong knowledge of insurer products, policy wordings, and underwriting practices
