Austell Pharmaceuticals, one of South Africa’s fast-growing pharmaceutical companies, is expanding its footprint within Gauteng and is seeking a driven Doctor Detailing Representative to join the East Rand territory.
This opportunity is suited to both medical science graduates looking to enter pharmaceutical sales, as well as experienced representatives seeking career growth within a dynamic and performance-focused organisation.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and detailing Austell’s pharmaceutical products to general practitioners, specialists, and other healthcare professionals within the allocated territory.
The role requires strong relationship management, clinical product knowledge, and a results-driven mindset to achieve territory sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Promote and detail pharmaceutical products to doctors and healthcare professionals

Conduct structured territory visits to clinics, practices, and hospitals

Communicate product indications, clinical benefits, and usage clearly and accurately

Build and maintain long-term professional relationships within the territory

Identify opportunities to increase product awareness and prescribing support

Achieve agreed monthly and quarterly sales targets

Monitor competitor activity and market trends

Provide territory feedback and accurate sales reporting
Minimum Requirements
Education:

Degree in Medical Science (Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Microbiology or related field) preferred
