Key Responsibilities:

• Manage production forecasts and supply planning from beginning to end
• Maintain good morale in the department with good relationships with internal and external contacts
• Ensure the department operates according to the standards agreed in the Supply Chain KPI''s and

constantly strive to improve productivity, reduce cost and waste.

• Monitor and manage the supply planning processes to produce accurate and efficient supply plans to achieve target customer service level
• Drive improvements in the Supply Planning processes, including supply planning optimization
• Ensure that optimized stock cover policies are implemented and respected
• Manage resources and stock in line with agreed budgets
• Ensure high levels of stock accuracy and housekeeping
• Ensure stock control procedures are implemented and signed off from an audit perspective
• Establishing, managing and improving Inhouse and Outsourced warehousing and logistics processes and procedures
• Warehouse monitoring of stock on hand, transport and other costs
• Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) – production planning, scheduling and inventory control
• Promoting continuous operations benchmarking and development of KPI’s while driving continuous improvement in terms of cost management
• Overall accountability for the implementation and maintenance of the Warehouse and Distribution systems
• Ensure improved management reporting, information flow and organizational planning
• Effectively allocate resources to service production in terms of stock availability and usage reporting
• Compliance to all SHEQ and financial audit requirements
• Adherence to site meeting roster
• Provide support for exception management resolution through key meetings
• Set/review objectives and conduct performance appraisals for team

Key requirements

• Degree in B Com Supply Chain/ B Com Finance or similar
• 3-5 Years in a Distribution/ Production Planning Manager role, with a further 3-5 years’ additional experience in an operational distribution/ planning role
• Solid production planning & distribution experience
• Highly meticulous, analytical 
• Strong understanding of integrated demand and supply planning systems
• Advanced knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint essential
• Stakeholder/ Relationship management and ability to communicate at different levels of the Organisation.
• Budget management experience
• Ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure; Attention to detail and accuracy and deadline driven
• Be able to self-manage and ability to work independently with no supervision

Team: 3 Distribution Specialists, 1 Planner , 1 Warehouse Manager, 25 indirect shopfloor employees

Package:

Basic Salary: Highly Negotiable
