Dispatch Supervisor

SUMMARY:

An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking the above to accurately and speedily issue materials to production on the SAP system, to perform continuous accuracy checks on outgoing inventory for material control and to investigate discrepancies, locate errors and initiate corrective actions.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a Matric with Mathematics
• A valid Forklift Driver’s license is essential
• Must have at least 3 years warehouse experience working in SAP, including Materials Management Modules and GR & GI transactions

• Leading the daily assigned team under the directive of the Site Logistics Supervisor, ensuring that daily assigned tasks are carried out accurately and on time.
• Planning the daily workload for this team and assigning the tasks appropriately.
• Following up and reporting on progress of assigned tasks.
• Supervising all deliveries of outgoing goods into the site.
• Checking all deliveries to ensure accurate stock figures on SAP using batch management and ensuring that all materials issued are booked into the PSA area on delivery.
• Following up on queries from the plants to ensure timeous resolution and accurate stock records.
• Solving all queries pertaining to stock transfers in consultation with production staff to ensure accurate movements and records of stocks, as well as timeous resolution of issues i.e. shortages and damages.
• Identifying stock inaccuracies, investigating discrepancies and using problem solving skills to ensure the appropriate action is taken to correct discrepancies.
• Ensuring that all returns from the plants are physically counted, accurately booked and accurately placed into bins.
• Ensuring that no damages or unlabeled stocks are booked into bins.
• Processing and recording material rejections and ensuring returns to suppliers are correctly handled as per SOP.
• Advising the Site Logistics Supervisor of inventory discrepancies, recommending improvements in the system and implementing where necessary.
• Complying with a safe working environment, by ensuring that hazardous materials are stored according to regulatory requirements, all SHEQ programs and responsibilities are participated in and safe working practices are adhered to.
• Ensuring good housekeeping standards must be maintained.
