SUMMARY:
Westmead. Well-established company within the steel manufacturing and road safety industry seeks Despatch Clerk with relevant experience to join their KZN branch.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:
  • Receiving, checking, and placing in correct storage location of goods and raw materials for road safety products
  • Despatching of RSP products to customers and service suppliers
  • Scheduling of transport for collections
  • Responsible for the receiving and dispatching of stock which may include the offloading and loading of trucks
  • Checking quantity and quality of products loaded or received
  • Processing of all delivery / receiving related documentation
  • Updating of stock count database weekly
  • Maintain orderly and neat storage of all RSP stock
  • Provide administrative support and general assistance to management and sales staff
  • Assist with stocktaking preparations and physical counting during quarterly stocktakes
  • Assisting clients when they are collecting goods and verifying that correct orders are loaded
  • May be required to do deliveries from time to time
Requirements:
  • Minimum Matric
  • Previous Forklift operating experience (possession of a valid Forklift Operating Licence will be beneficial)
  • Computer literate
  • Good paperwork procedures
  • Ability to communicate with and deal with customers
