A conservation company seeks a Digital Media Marketing specialist with exceptional technical skills to take on an unusual challenge in the Fundraising space for a purpose-driven organisation that rescues badly treated animals. This is an international organisation and your role will be to take ownership of the digital marketing & campaign efforts from an SA perspective.

Together with the team, the company acquires once-off supporters to convert them into regular supporters. This ensures sustainable income to support campaigns and projects. Moreover, the successful candidate will align processes and projects with the Head of Fundraising and the international Digital Fundraising team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of a living digital strategy in alignment with the overarching fundraising and organisational goals
  • Executing targeted fundraising, leading generation and conversion campaigns on social media, email, and other online platforms
  • Working collaboratively with Fundraising and Communications colleagues in a dynamic and engaging work environment as well as with external agencies and vendors in developing and delivering inspiring supporter experiences and campaigns
  • Developing engaging donor journey e-mails, newsletters, digital fundraising appeals, key landing pages and paid social media advertising
  • Measuring and reporting on performance against goals (ROI and KPIs) and optimising spend and performance based on the insights
  • Tracking communication and campaign performance in order to draw insight and report on audience behaviour and trends
  • Using analytical insight to reduce attrition (drop-off/churn) rates, segment supporter audiences on a powerful CRM platform for tailored experiences, track audience behaviour and campaign performance
  • Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and trends and providing thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience with social media and Google advertising as well as in implementing digital campaigns and managing digital platforms
  • Experience with an advanced CRM system such as Salesforce or equivalent, an advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, copywriting skills, an advantage
  • Relevant qualification in digital marketing
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office 365 as well as virtual communication tools (e.g. MS Teams)
  • Know-how in using Google Analytics for website tracking and improving user experience
  • Google Grants (AdWords) experience, an advantage
