Digital Marketing Coordinator

SUMMARY:
Travel Company based in Bryanston is looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to implement, manage and monitor all social media strategies for various Sports & Events brands as well as creative projects including external and internal campaigns, websites and email marketing.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:
 
Social Media:
 
Creation of a social media / engagement strategy
Grow the social media pages along with best practice organic and paid methods
Content creation, information sharing, update and maintenance
Platforms include, but are not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram & LinkedIn
Manage Social media channels
Working with the group’s offices across Africa to ensure messaging is aligned on social media and that the message of one single African footprint is portrayed
Content creation
Copy writing
Filming, video & photography
Content planning strategy
Use analytics tools to gauge success and report on social media metrics
Regular meetings with brands & marketing representatives
Research and analysis
Public relations and community building
Webinars/tutorials/courses/Information sharing
Run weekly and monthly meetings to brainstorm and collaborate
Coordinate events and important days
Create briefs and execute social media campaigns along with the Marketing and Communications Manager, ensuring proper CI brand guidelines are followed
Compile digital competitor analysis for brands
Put together PR crises communication plan for the brands
 
Reporting & Stats:
 
Monthly social media stats report for the brands.
 
Email Marketing:
 
Researching and creating content for newsletters.
 
Teamwork:
 
Working closely with the Marketing and Creative team in terms of projects including sourcing of images and content for campaigns and videos.
 
Learning & Development:
 
Continuously develop marketing and social media knowledge
Keep abreast of all industry and technology trends
 
Requirements:
Matric / Grade 12
A digital Marketing or Communications qualification
At least 2+ years Digital Marketing experience
Proficiency in MS Office
Proficiency in the social media landscape including platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube
Experience in managing multiple social media accounts
Copywriting skills
Sound understanding of marketing principles
Ability to operate under solid pressure and meet tight deadlines
Effective project management skills
Effective understanding of latest technologies and should identify how to apply them in marketing
Plan decisions and practice good judgment
Build excellent working relationship to attain goals
Work collaboratively as a team member
Be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative
Effectively communicate and make best use of interpersonal skills
