Qualification and Experience

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Multimedia/ journalism or any related fields is an advantage
  • 3 - 5 years of recent experience in digital content curation
  • Exposure in Telecoms/ICT /OTT, e- commerce or media and entertainment industries
  • Social media experience is advantageous

Key Requirements

  • Passionate about Africa and African content, from education to music to gaming
  • Community minded, interested in building communities
  • Good knowledge of the content industry in Africa
  • Good knowledge of written English to a high level with excellent grammatical skills
  • Ability to interpret analytics and data to improve content offering
  • Ability to edit and curate written content
  • Knowledge of market trends for content in Africa
  • Team player
  • Previous experience of content licensing is advantageous
  • Previous experience of CMS operation is advantageous
  • French or an African language is advantageous
  • Ability to work to KPIs for achievement of goals with regard to growth of the user base, and various related targets
