Digital Commerce Merchandising Manager

Responsibilities

• Execute all merchandising functions related to the online offering, including sales
• Selection of the online product range and the merchandising and promotion of ranges
• Ensure optimal displays and arrangement of products in the online store that are consistent with brand and business goals
• Perform product data analysis and competitor and market research to recommend merchandising solutions that deliver an enhanced customer digital journey experience
• Assume overall accountability for the effective digital merchandising of the product range
• Manage and develop the overall layout and look and feel of the site
• Implement site merchandising (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Product page optimisation
• Promotions strategy in line with the online objectives of the site
• Manage creative assets in an easily accessed archive
• Set up and manage merchandising assets
• Support the execution of the marketing strategies on the site
• Collaborate with buying teams to select product ranges that best promote offers and maximises sales
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure all products have images, copy,and pricing in accordance with planned launch dates
• Ensure digital channels are rich with content and enable customers to easily discover products in the catalogue
• Collaborate with the product coordination teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of the product catalogue are always maintained
• Work closely with the buying and marketing teams to deliver on promotions that maximises sales
• Deliver and report on online sales against agreed KPIs
• Analyse weekly / daily performance, provide insights and drive day-to-day optimisation

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business or a related field
• +3 years experience in a similar role
• Experience working with product merchandising tools and teams
• Strong understanding of and experience in content management systems and the e-Commerce environment
• Experience working on online merchandising platforms
• Retail experience with a well-developed understanding of the online retail shopper journey
• Understanding of visual merchandising and the levers that drive e-Commerce sales
• Analytical with good problem-solving skills
• A flair for sales, merchandising and delivering a compelling customer experience particularly in an online retail environment
• Able to work under pressure, manage multiple demands and adapt as business needs evolve in a fast-paced environment
• An independent, motivated self-starter with the desire to continually learn and grow
