Diesel Technician

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Diesel Technician to support the Workshop Foreman, manage work tasks efficiently, mentor apprentices, and ensure high-quality performance in line with company standards.

POSITION INFO:
The role involves supporting the Workshop Foreman by maintaining strong internal relationships and ensuring efficient management of work tasks.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately recording hours worked, lubricants, parts, and consumables on job cards, adhering to company standards, and ensuring high-quality performance.
• The role also requires participation in training, mentoring apprentices, managing Health and Safety compliance, and promoting a productive, positive working environment.
• Additionally, responsibilities include managing breakdowns professionally, maintaining company tools and assets, and ensuring effective communication with the workshop manager.

• Matric or higher
• Diesel Trade qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Code 14 license with PDP
• Electrical experience is advantageous

• Physically fit, proactive, and confident
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Technical expertise with good documentation skills
