Our client in Pretoria is looking for a dynamic Desktop/Network Support Administrator to join their team!

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of IT support experience
  • Own transport

The applicant should have a working knowledge and should be able to troubleshoot the following :

  • Office 365 administration, including email and Sharepoint
  • Windows Server 2003 - 2016 - including AD
  • Basic network infrastructure, CCNA would be advantageous
  • Basic desktop support and troubleshooting (A+ and N+ would be advantageous)
  • Basic hardware support, i.e. replace PC components, install\repair network points.

In addition to post-sales support, the support person is engaged with the customer and will be responsible for maintaining the systems in running order. The candidate will also be responsible for emergency support and maintenance of customer equipment and the overall functioning of the “outsourced” IT function. Regular reporting and a close working relationship with other technicians/managers is a requirement.

Roll up the sleeves: comfortable working on his/her own, or with a small and highly motivated staff implementing outsourced IT management solutions.

The candidate will be based in Pretoria and be expected to travel to clients in the area, on days not traveling the candidate will be expected to work from home and resolve helpdesk tickets and offer technical support to clients, the candidate will also be expected to travel to further away client sites from time to time, the candidate will need to have their own reliable transport.
