Desktop Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line support for desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows-based systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and application-related issues.
• Set up, configure, and support network printers and other office equipment.
• Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory.
• Assist with desktop deployments, upgrades, patches, and system updates.
• Support mobile devices and endpoint technologies.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting, including cabling and connectivity issues.
• Escalate complex technical issues when required.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and IT assets.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and operational standards.
• Assist with CCTV systems and related troubleshooting where required.
• Deliver professional and responsive support to end users, ensuring minimal business disruption.

Minimum Requirements

• CompTIA A+ certification.
• CompTIA N+ certification.
• Relevant IT Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support, or Helpdesk environment.
• Valid understanding of desktop hardware, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
