Desktop Support Technician

SUMMARY:
A specialist provider of contact centre, customer experience and enterprise communication solutions is looking for a dynamic Desktop Support Technician.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities

IT support

- Logging all relevant incident/service request details, allocating categorisation and prioritisation code
- Ensuring all incidents and resolutions are owned and communicated effectively throughout the lifecycle to both the business and internal IT teams
- Daily health checks on all IT Equipment
- Providing first-line investigation and diagnosis
- Resolving those incidents/service requests
- Escalating incidents/service requests that they cannot resolve within agreed timescales
- Keeping users informed of progress
- Closing all resolved incidents, requests and other calls
- Communicating with users – keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
- Facilitate communication between IT and the business at an operational level.
- Reinforce expectations of users regarding what service levels have been agreed upon.
- Training of users on systems and processes
- Supplier management
- Asset management of all IT Assets
- IT Procurement
- Perform light lifting - 20Kgs

Facilities

- Day to day management and coordination of the facility
- Daily health checks on the facility
- Working with the Facilities provider to ensure all relevant services have been attended to such as;
- Security, cleaning, food, water & health & safety requirements.
- To plan, manage and coordinate a program of singular to multiple facility-related projects and achieve goals and objectives as set for successful delivery and implementation
- Effective management and coordination of resources on a project
- Supplier management
- Perform light lifting - 20Kgs
