Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve desktop, network, printer, and IT hardware/software issues.
• Conduct regular system maintenance, backups, and updates to ensure optimal performance.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and device drivers.
• Assemble, upgrade, and repair computer hardware components when needed.
• Provide support for video conferencing systems, user accounts, and plant IT operations.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
• Log and monitor Helpdesk incidents, analyse recurring issues, and prepare IT reports.
• Support additional IT initiatives to enhance overall system efficiency and security.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• FET Certificate in PC Support, PC Engineering, IT: Technical Support, or NC: IT Systems Support (NQF Level 4)
• CompTIA A+ and N+ (required)
• Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) - advantageous
• CompTIA Security+ advantageous
• Basic PLC knowledge - advantageous

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant IT support experience.
• Strong knowledge of networking, Windows 10 and above, and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Proficiency in Active Directory administration.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and stand-by as required.
• Ability to successfully complete a practical IT competency assessment as part of the selection process.
