SUMMARY:
Role Purpose
The Design Draughtsperson is responsible for producing accurate and detailed mechanical drawings to support the design, manufacture, and installation of engineered equipment. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams to ensure drawings meet technical standards, project requirements, and draughting best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed mechanical drawings based on engineering sketches, calculations, and technical inputs.
Carry out site visits, measurements, plotting, and verification of design information where required.
Perform design detailing and draughting using 3D modelling software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering specifications.
Check and revise drawings to ensure technical correctness and adherence to internal draughting standards.
Liaise with Engineering, Sales, Contracts, Manufacturing, Field Services, and Spares teams to support project execution.
Implement and maintain draughting standards and document control procedures.
Support engineering calculations related to mechanical components and layouts.

Role Requirements
Qualifications
BTech or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
Strong academic performance in Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience using 3D draughting software such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical draughting of pressure vessels, piping, and structural equipment.
Experience with Autodesk Vault Professional and Plant 3D would be advantageous.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in 3D modelling and mechanical draughting principles.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, standards, and technical documentation.
