Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D models, fabrication drawings, assemblies, and GA drawings using SolidWorks.
• Develop and refine equipment designs to optimise performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure design documentation aligns with project requirements and engineering standards.
• Support new product development and variations based on engineering input or client specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, procurement, and production stakeholders to enable smooth execution of projects.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and assembly to resolve any design‑related challenges.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, adhere to drawing control procedures, and prepare “as‑built” documentation.
• Participate in R&D and continuous improvement initiatives, including prototype design and testing support.
• Ensure design deliverables comply with ISO 9001:2015 and SolidWorks PDM requirements.

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Draughting (or equivalent

• 5–8 years’ experience in mechanical design and draughting, ideally within water treatment or process‑equipment environments.
• Extensive experience in SolidWorks 3D modelling, detailing, and drafting.

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and fabrication processes.
• Experience in product improvement, design development, and R&D collaboration.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and technical review skills.
