Depot Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Depot Manager to oversee daily depot operations, staff supervision, stock control, and customer service. The successful candidate will ensure efficient logistics, accurate inventory management, and smooth operational flow while maintaining high safety and service standards.

POSITION INFO:
Description:

• Manage day-to-day depot operations and workflow
• Supervise and support depot staff, including scheduling and performance management
• Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of stock
• Maintain accurate inventory control and conduct regular stock counts
• Ensure timely order fulfillment and deliveries
• Implement and maintain health & safety standards
• Monitor equipment, vehicles, and facility maintenance
• Liaise with sales teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure efficient service
• Control operational costs and improve efficiency
• Handle customer queries and resolve operational issues

• Proven experience in depot, warehouse, or logistics management
• Strong stock control and inventory management experience
• Supervisory or team leadership experience
• Computer literacy (inventory systems & MS Office)
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred

• Experience in the electrical, hardware, construction, or wholesale supply industry
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations
• Experience managing delivery schedules and fleet coordination
