SUMMARY:
A well-established company based in Johannesburg North is seeking a Department Manager for their Spare Parts Sales Department

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Education: Matric / Relevant tertiary education will be advantageous

Minimum Experience: at least 5 years within a similar role

Computer Packages: SAP

Duties and Requirement includes but is not limited to following:

Operational planning, logistics, resource management and administration
Drafting of departmental budgets; financial monitoring and control
Financial / sales analysis and reporting to the management team (quarterly)
Authorisation of high value spare parts quotes (>R200’000) and orders (>€100’000)
Departments’ strategic planning, system design and implementation for continuous improvement
Improve departments’ operating efficiency
Growth of divisions’ nett profit and sustainable improvement of profitability
Human resources management for department’s staff (employee performance and development)
- Training, mentoring and development of team members
Maintain a continuous overview of the day-to-day goings-on of the department to ensure smooth
- Operation (grease the wheels, pick up the pieces, delegate, assist, and hold people accountable)
Develop relationships between key client personal
- Conduct and / or support site meetings with clients when required
Ensure the Spares department delivers results as per customers’ needs, expectations and required
- Timelines to ensure repeat business with existing customers
Escalation point / path for (local) customer and (international) suppliers
- Development of professional, personal relationships with key European suppliers and local clients
- Negotiate favourable terms and conditions for the supply of Spare Parts with suppliers
- Management and resolution of escalated spare parts related issues and complaints
Technical support for spares department subordinates and clients
Management of spares stock and inventory control
