Debtors and Creditors Clerk

SUMMARY:
My client, a successful property company, based in the Northern Suburbs is looking for a Debtors and Creditors Clerk with basic accounting and administrative skills to join their team. The ideal candidate will be someone who strives to achieve excellence, easily understand different types of management software, and can work well in a team, preferably with experience in the property sector.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities

• Cashbook
• Capture and allocate data from trust and client bank accounts
• Prepare owner payments and calculate commission
• Invoicing
• Bill recoveries
• Generate invoices
• Attend to invoice queries
• Prepare debit order schedule
• Accounts payable
• Review payment schedule and invoices and ensure all authorisations and supporting documents are in place
• Upload for payment authorisation to banking profile
• Audits
• Assist with preparation of documents required for annual trust account audit

Adhoc duties as per management

Requirements:

• At least 10 years’ experience (preferably in the property sector) in similar type position or minimum of 5 years’ experience with a post-matric qualification in accounting.
• Experience in MDA Property Software (MRI Property Central) or any other similar program and WeConnectU would be an advantage
• Proven proficiency in MS Office
• Good numeric skill
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional telephone manner
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
