A Debtors Manager vacancy is available at our Client, Wits Health Consortium in Parktown, Johannesburg - Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:

Background

Wits Health Consortium (Pty) Limited ("WHC") is a wholly-owned Company of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (South Africa) under its Faculty of Health Sciences. WHC provides Faculty with a legal framework within which to operate the research and other activities necessary to support its academic objectives. In addition, WHC offers a range of products and services to the Academics conducting these activities in order to assist with the management thereof

Main purpose of the job

• To effectively manage and co-ordinate the Debtors Department

Location

• 31 Princess of Wales, Parktown

Key performance areas

• Manage all accounts receivable functions
• Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts receivable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines and address any risks identified
• Manages the Deposit Account end-to-end process
• Manages intercompany transactions
• Manage the Revenue Recognition process
• Provides accounting assistance to grant managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
• Acts as a liaison between the grants and customers and auditors to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes
• Manage bad debts and liaise with legal where required
• Manage HR-related issues i.e. performance management, timesheets, etc.

Required minimum education and training

• Bachelor''s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required minimum work experience

• Minimum 5 years management experience
