Debtors Manager

SUMMARY:
A well-established retail group in the southern Drakensberg is seeking an experienced DEBTORS MANAGER to drive their credit control function.

POSITION INFO:
You'll manage a substantial debtors book across multiple till points, with a strong focus on cash flow, compliance, and team leadership; retail experience is essential.

Core Criteria:

• 5 years' experience managing a debtors book of 200+ customers
• Proven team management experience
• Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Retail experience, with the ability to coordinate invoices across multiple points of sale

• Oversee and drive the full billing and credit control process
• Maintain the debtors database, including term codes and banking detail accuracy
• Trace and resolve queries from point of sale through to accounting software
• Compile monthly reports and manage month-end procedures
• Monitor customer compliance against contract terms; action non-compliance
• Provide weekly cash flow projections
• Authorise credit notes and balance account reconciliations
• Manage daily sales entries, cashier floats, and change bags
• Maintain records of all debtor correspondence
