POSITION INFO:
A well-established company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Debtors Clerk to join its finance team based in Muizenberg, Cape Town. This role is responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining positive customer relationships while ensuring timely collections.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts, including payment terms and outstanding balances
Follow up with customers via phone and email to collect outstanding payments
Ensure that signed invoices and supporting documentation are received and correctly filed
Generate and send customer statements and invoices
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in collaboration with internal teams
Monitor accounts receivable ageing and prioritise collection activities
Prepare regular reports on debtor status and collection progress for management
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and payment arrangements
Work closely with sales and administrative teams to resolve payment-related matters
Maintain professional customer relationships while ensuring the timely payment of accounts

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Diploma in Accounting / Financial Management
3-5 years’ finance experience
High proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
