Deboning Manager - Meat Traders

SUMMARY:
Meat Traders Abattoir is seeking an experienced Deboning Manager to take full responsibility for our deboning operations. The successful candidate will lead a hands‑on production team, manage daily output, and ensure that quality, yield and stock control targets are consistently achieved.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the deboning team to meet daily production targets and service levels.​
• Manage workflow on the deboning floor, ensuring optimal yields, minimal waste and adherence to quality standards.​
• Monitor stock, coordinate distribution, and maintain accurate production records and reports.​
• Enforce food safety, hygiene and abattoir operating procedures at all times.​

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ deboning experience with proven supervisory or management responsibility in an abattoir or meat processing environment.​
• Matric (Grade 12) essential.​
• Strong leadership, people management and communication skills, with the ability to drive a productive, motivated team.​
• Solid knowledge of abattoir processes, carcass breakdown and yield management.​
• Confident working with production data and reports to track performance and implement improvements.​
