SUMMARY:

Our client is a well-established financial services provider specializing in tailored working capital solutions for businesses across South Africa. This client-facing role is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing funding transactions while driving sustainable revenue growth and maintaining strong credit and risk discipline.

You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing a robust deal pipeline, and building long-term relationships with clients and intermediaries. Working closely with credit, legal, and operations teams, you will ensure the successful execution of transactions from initial engagement through to payout.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Source and originate new working capital and lending opportunities.
Build, manage, and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified deals.
Drive business development initiatives and expand market presence.
Structure tailored funding solutions aligned to client requirements and risk appetite.
Manage the full deal lifecycle from origination through to execution and payout.
Generate revenue in line with agreed business targets and budgets.
Optimize pricing and transaction structures to maximize profitability.
Ensure all transactions comply with credit, risk, and governance requirements.
Develop and maintain strong client and intermediary relationships.
Identify cross-selling opportunities and generate repeat business.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless deal execution.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging business opportunities.
Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and business expansion efforts.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Postgraduate qualification or relevant financial services certification advantageous.
Minimum 2 years' experience within a lending or financial services environment.
Experience in business development and client-facing financial services roles.
Proven ability to structure and execute finance transactions.
Strong understanding of credit, risk, and governance frameworks.
Financial analysis and deal structuring experience.
Track record of developing and managing client relationships.
Strong negotiation, networking, and closing skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
