SUMMARY:
Day Shift Receiving Despatch Clerk (Northriding)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

NB: Candidates must reside within 25km of Northiriding. Candidates outside this radius will not be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

ØDespatching and Receiving Clerks verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing goods in warehouse or distribution Centre’s and prepare goods for despatch.

ØReceive stock and check expiry date, quality and quantity against the purchase order documents.

ØChecking of all returns from physical goods to delivery note to ensure all returned goods are in good condition and reporting any discrepancies and deviations to the Warehouse Manager.

ØCreating GRNs for all returned goods and ensuring these are signed off by the Warehouse Manager.

ØRecording of all GRN’s on the register.

ØTimeous submission of GRN documents to the costing department to enable credit notes to be generated for the customer.

ØManaging receiving schedule.

ØAttend to, investigate and resolve queries with relevant departments relating to discrepancies internal and external.

ØMaintain good housekeeping.

ØLoad all same day trucks and clear factory floor of any excess stock.

ØEnsure that vehicles are note overloaded.

ØStock on belts to be checked for weight and any discrepancies.

ØCheck quality of all stock despatched i.e., no broken box’s, expired products and damaged stock.

ØCheck contents of all unsealed boxes.

ØEnsure that vehicles are packed in an orderly manner.

Skills:

ØMatric and speak English and Afrikaans fluently.

ØMinimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a receiving/despatching position.

ØMust reside within a 25km radius of Northriding.

ØComputer Literate and use own initiative.

ØMust be willing to work independently and be punctual.

Behavioural Competencies:

ØWell-groomed and presentable.

ØSelf-Motivated, organised and responsible (stable work history).

ØMust be able to work independently and be punctual.

ØGood organisational and administration skills.

Working Days / Hours:

ØMonday to Friday: 07h00 to 16h00 / 08h00 to 17h00

ØSaturdays: 07h00 to 12h00 / 08h00 to 13h00
