SUMMARY:
Are you a technically accomplished Data Scientist who enjoys leading people as much as building intelligent models? A well-established consulting firm is looking for a driven analytics leader to take ownership of advanced AI and machine-learning solutions, while guiding a small, high-calibre team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who wants to stay hands-on while influencing data strategy and client outcomes.

POSITION INFO:
In this position, you will lead a compact team of data specialists and take responsibility for the design, development, and delivery of predictive and AI-driven models. You’ll work closely with clients, translating complex data into practical insights, while also shaping and strengthening the organisation’s analytics offering.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of data scientists and analysts
Design, build, and enhance predictive models, continuously improving performance
Deliver AI and machine-learning solutions tailored to client needs
Own the full modelling lifecycle: data analysis, feature engineering, modelling, validation, and deployment
Present complex analytical insights in a clear, business-focused manner to stakeholders

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:

Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline
PhD highly advantageous

Experience:

2–3 years’ experience in a leadership or team-lead capacity
Demonstrated end-to-end predictive modelling experience
Strong, practical exposure to AI and machine learning (essential)
Prior consulting experience beneficial
Proven AI and machine-learning experience
Prior experience leading a small team

Skills:

Python proficiency (essential)
SQL experience (advantageous)
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Confidence communicating technical insights to non-technical audiences
