SUMMARY:

A wellâestablished financial services organisation is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a growing analytics team focused on delivering advanced insights, predictive models, and scalable data solutions that support strategic and clientâdriven initiatives.

POSITION INFO:

The role focuses on unlocking business value through advanced analytics and intelligent use of data. You will develop machine learning models, analytical frameworks, and automated reporting tools to support decisionâmaking across portfolios, products, and clients.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and contribute to the development of modern analytics platforms in a fastâpaced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop predictive, statistical, and machine learning models to support forecasting, segmentation, and risk analysis.
Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
Translate analytical outputs into practical business insights for both technical and nonâtechnical stakeholders.
Support portfolio and client analytics by evaluating performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
Build automated reporting and analytics solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
Identify opportunities to automate manual analytical or reporting processes.
Extract, transform, and analyse data using advanced SQL and Python.
Contribute to dashboards, internal analytics tools, and cloudâbased data platforms.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.
(Postgraduate qualification is advantageous.)
3–6 years’ experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering, preferably within financial services or a commercial environment.
Strong experience working with large datasets using SQL and Python.
Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard development and reporting.
Experience applying machine learning techniques is advantageous.
Exposure to modern data platforms such as Databricks, Synapse, or similar cloud environments is beneficial.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly and confidently.
